I teach middle school science by day. Photography and cooking seem to be where I focus my extracurricular creative energy. Growing up, my dad was an amateur photographer and had a darkroom in our basement. I hated having my picture taken, still do. I'd much rather be the one taking the pictures. In 2013 my wife and I traveled to Tanzania to visit good friends. That's me on the left. When I returned people encouraged me to do something with the photos from the trip. And so, Wading Dog Studios was born. "Wading Dog" refers to our dog, Chance, pictured above during a visit to one of his favorite spots. He's not much of a swimmer, but he definitely likes to take a dip. I feel I got lucky with that photo of him.
